S.A.T. FACTS
Below you can see the stage by stage development of the SAT Patch.

S.A.T. is dedicated to the enjoyment of touring the Alps, and to bring the alpine
experience to all riders. If you are enthusiastic about alpine motorcycle touring and have a sense for adventure,
and would like to meet riders who have a passion for alpine motorcycle touring then you have come to the right web site.

You will find no rules or regulations here. SAT is not a club, association, federation or engages in club style politics.
The aim is very simple indeed; Enjoy life; broaden your horizons, further and enhance your riding skills.
Hopefully, make friends with other riders that share these ideals.
English is the first spoken language here but SAT Riders speaking
Dutch, Flemish, French, German, Luxembourgish, Polish and
Welsh are also part of this group.

The objects of the SAT are to promote international contact, friendship,
activities and information exchange between all motorcyclists looking for alpine touring experiences.

Surf around on our pages and take in the information that is available here.
Maybe with this we can wet your appetite for you to get involved with the SAT
and to get you motivated to start taking that ride into the Alps with us.

Our site is updated at least once a month. Some times on a daily basis.
If you have any suggestions or require further information then please contact us.

BAR Past History
In September 2000 the B.A.R. celebrated its tenth anniversary.
BAR was formally the only region of the GWOCGB’s (GoldWing Owners Club of great britain) to be formed in mainland Europe
on August 20th 1990 under
the joint agreement of the G.W.O.C.G.B. and G.W.C.CH. – (GoldWing Club of Switzerland)
and GWEF committee’s when BAR started its journey.

The reason for the formation of BAR was brought about by a few British ex-pats that live abroad, in and around the Swiss Alps who wished to maintain a connection with GWOCGB. To have a recognised region and meeting place for all members.
Hence the name "British Alpine Region".

As from January 2008 the BAR parted company with the GWOCGB  and
on the 4th September 2008 continue as a separate entity as the SAT .
